About Scopze

Scopze offers respite for people with disabilities.

It was initially established in 2012 for people that had been accessing Disability Resource Centre (HB) Trust services for a number of years but then required a more structured day with additional support.

Scopze seeks to provide opportunities for people with disabilities to participate in their community in a supportive, structured environment.

Each person attending has an individual plan which is created in conjunction with family and Whanau and from this an individual programme is developed.

Activities at Scopze may include:

  • Art and Craft
  • Baking/Cooking
  • Cake decorating
  • Gardening
  • Kapa Haka
  • Ukulele

There are also opportunities to access community activities such as:

  • Golf
  • Fishing
  • Darts
  • Ten Pin
  • Swimming
  • Pool
  • Karate

Scopze Respite is open between the hours of 9am to 3pm Monday to Friday, or by prior arrangement.
