About our Employment Services
If you have a long term health condition or disability, we are able to help you plan your career and find sustainable, meaningful employment. We work with you and employers to find jobs that fit, and support both the employee and employer to enjoy the working relationship.
Our Disability Employment Services are funded by MSD (Employment Service) and ACC (Living my Life Services). Learn more about ACC Living My Life Services.

Success Stories
Jay has a unique set of mechanical and engineering skills which despite having no qualifications has seen him with consistent work over the last year. Employment Services assisted Jay to gain employment with Hawkes Bay Towing, Whakatu, Hastings, as a Towing, Machinery, Vehicle Recovery, Operator.
Jay has always wanted to become a qualified mechanic and Employment Services has been able to assist him in his endeavours. Jay’s job at Hawkes Bay Towing has had a positive effect on Jay’s mental health and wellbeing. Jay has grown in confidence and manages his work life balance well. Jay is a hard worker, very focused on his work.
Although Jay struggles at times with Clinical (Major) Depression, brought on by anxiety and panic attacks, he has consistently been a reliable employee with those companies he has worked for. His employer is very pleased with Jay’ can-do attitude and the support from the Disability Resource Centre (HB) Trust – Employment Services.

It’s going to take patience and education to help many to realise that hiring disabled people isn’t the risk they think it is, in fact there may be advantages.
We are a specialised support agency who can work with you and the employer to gain appropriate work with appropriate supports in place to help you to remain in work for a sustainable outcome.

If you have a disability or health condition that is likely to impact your ability to work for six months or more and require support to obtain employment in addition to that provided by Work and Income service delivery then we can assist you.
