About Us

Turning Point is a service assisting people with disabilities to be valued contributors to their community, helping them to have the confidence, skills and support of their families and friends to reach their potential.

Turning Point Coordinators work alongside the person, empowering them to achieve their goals and to become independent in their lives. Activities are structured around each person's individual choices, encouraging natural supports and fostering broader relationships to flourish.

Staff provide life skills tuition including cooking, community awareness and keeping safe as well as some fitness and recreational activities – leading to clients enrolling in clubs and other associations in their community.

Clients are given opportunities to contribute to society through volunteering for local not-for-profit organisations where the skills gained can lead to paid employment in commercial businesses.
